Company Announces New Visual Modeling Software That Integrates Disparate Data With Google EarthTM; Taps Into Powerful 3D Views and XML Blended Data

August 8, 2005, Waltham, MA. VoxVue Corporation today announced general availability of the industry’s first software solution enabling Google Earth users to blend their data to create insightful data models to complement Google Earth. Users of VoxVue’s Bizscape software realize enhanced data integration that delivers rich powerful data insight to make effective decisions.

VoxVue is targeting organizations in commercial real estate, architecture and engineering, residential real estate, state and local government, intelligence and more. VoxVue BizScape delivers on the promise of being a rich internet application integrating the best the web has to offer with the power of client based computing.

Before today, the focus was on large applications and systems. But we have moved into a new phase of distribution and availability of data. Combined with VoxVue’s groundbreaking visual functionality users can understand information in context and make choices based on the relative value they place on different data items.

BizScape uniquely leverages Google Earth’s ability to render 3D objects in a geographically realistic setting. Using KML, an XML format used by Google Earth to generate custom shapes and icons, BizScape sends location-tagged nodes to Google Earth with the same vivid color, shape, size, and opacity used to convey meaning in the BizScape model. Nodes grouped in a BizScape model to illustrate classification can now be seen in parallel in Google Earth as objects arranged by location, with magnitude and degree used in both views to deepen understanding. Filters used to sift through the data objects and highlight connections in a BizScape view are communicated simultaneously to Google Earth via KML, with eye-opening effect.

“Our users have guided us into this new phase of using data. We are confident that both business and consumers will find applications that we have not yet considered,” said John Morey, VoxVue CEO. “By combining data visualization and easy data access across a broad spectrum of applications, a new marketplace is growing based on the trust of the Google platform and innovation of tools like BizScape”.
