VoxVue Corporation was started by John Morey; former Microsoft executive and founder of the Microsoft electronic mail business, as well as one of the founders of Microsoft Consulting Services. John founded VoxVue on the same guiding principle that he applied at Microsoft to allow his team to solve the communication challenges in businesses – Innovation is an active process that requires processes and data to be aligned and people to be empowered to see their business challenges from multiple non-traditional views.
John spent his Microsoft career working closely with Bill Gates and other Microsoft luminaries, to forge the Microsoft enterprise business. Different from traditional applications businesses, success in the enterprise business required not only new product paradigms, but new pricing models as well. Part of this work entailed the analysis of complex data from a variety of industries. At that time, two dimensional models; built either in Microsoft Excel, or Lotus 123, with simple charts and graphs were the normal analysis tools.
The problem with large, multi-tabbed spreadsheets was that the ripple effect of a change made in one spreadsheet was not easily understood throughout the entire spreadsheet model. John, together with Larry Floryan, an Astrophysicist and former founder of the pioneering networking company, Banyan, came up with a way to visually analyze disparate data in multi-dimensions. John and Larry found that by assigning attributes to the various intersection points of data and displaying this data graphically in multi-dimensions, patterns emerged in marked clarity. Changes in values resulted in graphical element changes and were easily analyzed. Several US Government agencies use this tool, in addition to companies in a variety of other industries.
Multi-Dimensional Insight
If a pixel is a two dimensional view of data, a voxel, or a Volumetric Picture Element, is a three dimensional view; hence the name, VoxVue.
John has spent considerable time as a Board member of a multi-hospital system which has recently been acquired and successfully transitioned to a for-profit health care system. John’s knowledge of Healthcare systems is extensive, As a result of his board expertise, John began to spend time with other healthcare organizations and now travels throughout the US, speaking with healthcare CEOs, board members and other members of senior leadership.
John and the VoxVue team feel that there are similarities between a changing regulatory environment and the various emerging technologies of the 1980s and 1990s that resulted in significant business model transformation across several industries, and what is happening in healthcare today. VoxVue Health partners with healthcare organizations throughout the US, assisting senior leadership to turn data into actionable information, to drive improved financial performance, enhanced quality, and higher levels of stakeholder engagement.
